ABOUT THE PLAY

Step into the enchanted world of Broadway's classic, Disney's Beauty and the Beast, an international sensation that has been produced in 37 countries worldwide. Based on the Academy Award-winning animated feature, the stage version includes all of the wonderful songs written by Alan Menken and the late Howard Ashman, along with new songs by Mr. Menken and Tim Rice. The original Broadway production ran for over thirteen years and was nominated for nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical.

The classic story tells of Belle, a young woman in a provincial town, and the Beast, who is really a young prince trapped under the spell of an enchantress. If the Beast can learn to love and be loved, the curse will end and he will be transformed into his former self. But time is running out. If the Beast does not learn his lesson soon, he and his household will be doomed for all eternity.

This "tale as old as time" is filled with spectacular costume and set opportunities or, even more simply staged, Disney's Beauty and the Beast offers a great opportunity to bring your entire community together for family theatre at its best.

DIRECTOR'S NOTE

There has been something truly magical about the Disney theatrical version of Beauty and the Beast. Aside from it being one of the first Broadway renditions of their animations, it has stood the test of time with a tale as old as time.

The simple story of love seeing past the cover and flourishing within is something that pertains to all of humanity.

I first directed this production 25 years ago in Pennsylvania and then again about 7 years ago. And I am so thrilled to produce it a third time with your outstanding and talented students. This production closes out our inaugural year of the Crismon Theater Company and I could not be more proud ! Thank you…all of you that have supported this program and these amazing kids! And I can’t wait to see what the future holds!

Please be our guest as we present Disney's Beauty and the Beast.

CAST

Avery-Bentley.jpg
AVERY BENTLEY

"Belle"

Hi my name is Avery Bentley. I am 13 years old and currently in seventh grade. I was very excited to try out for the role of Belle and was very grateful to have gotten that role. I really enjoy theater and have been in 4 different plays. I also enjoy singing, dancing, playing piano and guitar! I enjoy sports, the arts, and school. I hope everyone enjoys the performance tonight!

Zoe-Pimentel.jpg
ZOË BELLE PIMENTEL

"Belle"

Hello, my name is Zoë Belle and this is my first ever play, so getting the lead was a big surprise for me. My time in the Beauty and The Beast production has helped me to learn and develop in so many ways. I have learned so much more about acting and musical singing. Another thing that helped me was the cast and the stage managers and the amazing teachers. They are all so wonderful and supportive and I’ve made so many friends. I am so grateful that I got this opportunity because this has changed my life and perspective and really allowed me to get myself out there and stop being shy. Now the cast is like my second family. Thank you for coming to the show, I hope you enjoy!

Kyle-McKnight.jpg
KILE MCKNIGHT

"The Beast / Prince Adam"

Kile is so happy to have received one of his dream roles as Beast. He has been taking theater for over 4 years and has been in many plays and musicals staring as: Demetrius, Kristoff/ Hans, Mufasa, Dr. Gibbs, and Captain Hook.

He feels honored to have been able to be student directer in one musical and one play this year at Crismon High School. Thank you for coming and supporting the cast of Beauty and the Beast it means so much to Kile. He hopes you enjoy the show.

Devon-Mock.jpg
DEVON MOCK

"The Beast / Prince Adam"

Devin is honored and excited to play Beast in the Crismon Performing Arts Center’s production of Beauty & the Beast. He recently performed with Center Stage Academy (CSA) in Frozen Jr. and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. He is looking forward to an upcoming musical performance at Disneyland in a few weeks. Devin is in 8th grade and loves playing soccer and volleyball.

Jaxon-Crowley.jpg
JAXON CROWLEY

"Cogsworth"

Hi, I'm Jaxon, and I don't have any real acting experience because this is the first show I've been in. I like to play many video games since the first game I played back on the Xbox One, Minecraft Xbox One edition, which started my love for video games. The reason why I decided to try out for Beauty and the Beast was because of encouragement from my friends and family and because I like to be silly and make these voices in high and low pitches and maybe try to do funny accents and stuff. that is why and so far I think I am doing well as a lead in the show and will try out in future shows because of my newfound love for the performing arts. It's been so much fun for me in this show, aside from all the hard work and other stuff I have to do.

Haley-Lewis-2.jpg
HALEY LEWIS

"Cogsworth"

Hi! My name is Hayley Lewis, and I am so excited to be playing Cogsworth. I recently played Puck for A Midsummmer Nights Dream, and thank you for the amazing comments and compliments. I have been acting for a year now and I am so thankful for all the support I have been given from people around me. A thanks to Mr. Thorn, my parents, and friends who graciously support me. I could never be more thankful. Let's make this another amazing show!

Cameron-Eshleman.jpg
CAMERON ESHLEMAN

"Gaston"

Hey, my name's Cameron, but everyone just calls me Cam. I currently have only a little bit of experience in acting, but I'm excited to get some really good experience from this Broadway show. It's gonna be tough but I've learned the tougher something is to do, the greater the reward is when you accomplish it. And I'm definitely willing to work for that reward and give you the absolute best show we can. I'm the kind of guy who's willing to roll up his sleeves and get the job done.

Jayden-Gunsten.jpg
MARKUS GUNSTEN

"Gaston"

Hi, I'm Markus. This is my second show I've done ever. I had a great time. Thank you to my parents and the rest of my huge family. It's been awesome working with everyone. God bless you all.

Logan-Matamoros.jpg
LOGAN MATAMOROS

"LeFou"

Hello, my name is Logan Matamoros and I'm LeFou. I am thirteen years old and I am so excited to be LeFou in this production. I enjoy reading, art creating, and knowledge learning. I have not had very much of a career in the performing arts, but I am a very fast learner, and I have played in an orchestra for nearly three years. I am a kind-hearted person to (nearly) everyone I see, and I hope to be in many performances to come.

Dylan-Glass.jpg
DYLAN GLASS

"LeFou"

Well, this is unfortunately what happens when you ask your Dad to write your bio because you didn't want to. Dylan gets fantastic grades, loves to act and is, in general, a great kid. But there's a dark side to this kid as well. A side that includes possessing the strange talent of cluttering any room in his path with mind-bending speed. He is a torrent of messiness and destruction. And don't get me started on his personal cleanliness. You'd think by 13 you wouldn't have to argue daily for the kid to take a shower. Not the case. Oh--and when he does shower, there's really no guarantee (or hope) that he did a thorough job. So, basically, we have a straight "A" dirty child who can act. Clean it up, boy.

Nathan-Prokop.jpg
NATHAN PROKOP

"Lumiere"

I started performing in QCPAC and am now at Crismon Theater Company. I was King Agnar in "Frozen Jr," Theseus in "A Midummer Night's Dream" and now Lumiere. I always loved the arts and I wanted to be in it any way I could like Drawing and performing. Acting has always clicked and I have loved doing it and hope to make many more friends and great experiences.

Daniel-Gunsten.jpg
DANIEL GUNSTEN

"Lumiere"

My name is Daniel Gunsten and I am 16 years old. I was born and raised in AZ all of my life and  started acting and singing in middle school and through junior high with shows such as Frosty the Snowman and Our Town .Also I was a mascot for my old school and have done a few comedy shows with my twin brother. I want to thank my family for being so supportive and all the people along the way and I'm glad to work with this amazing team lead by the excellent Mr. Thorn.

Maya-Galarza.jpg
MAYA GALARZA

"Maurice"

Hi! My name's Maya Galarza! I play Maurice (Belle's father if you didn't know his name). I enjoy drawing and playing the violin in my free time. I also especially enjoy being with this wonderful cast of people. They are the most interesting (in a good way), funny, and kindest people I've met and I couldn't be more happy to work with them. The same could be said with the tech crew and everyone else. I really do hope you love our final production before summer break!!

Penny-Erickson.jpg

Last but not least, she would like to thank the cast and crew of this production for making the experience all that it is.

She enjoys singing and sharing her talents through all creative outlets. Special thanks to all family and friends for the continued love and support.

Abby-Carpenter.jpg
ABBY CARPENTER

I am so excited to have been given the opportunity of being in our school's production of Beauty and the Beast! Babette has been such a fun character to play, and I’m so glad I was the actor chosen for the role! I want to make sure I show my gratitude towards my friends, and family who have been cheering me on through this musical. I also want to show gratitude to all my fellow actors in the production, who have made this experience even more enjoyable. As well as all the encouragement I have received from the parents who help with our production, and my director. It’s safe to say that the experiences, and friends I have made during this production will be staying with me for a long time.

Niah-Harris.jpg
NIAH HARRIS

"Madame de la Grande Bouche"

My Name is Hananiah Harris, or Niah Harris more commonly known, and I have loved to sing since I was a little kid. Some of my occupations are singing, reading, playing with my little sister, and reading my Bible. I am also someone who does believe in God and am in clubs including FCA and MVMNT Club, which has just been started by my big sister. Some big accomplishments for me from my theater "career:" At my elementary school right before the pandemic, we were going to put on the Aladdin Jr. production. I was going to be Genie, but it never happened. In my first show at Crismon High School, we were doing Frozen Jr. and I got the role of Anna, which I was very happy about.

Brooklyn-Bitter.jpg
BROOKLYN BITTER

"Madame de la Grande Bouche"

Hi! My name is Brooklyn and I am playing Madame De la Grande Bouche. In the past few years, I have had the chance to play characters like Ariel and Mrs. Potts. My character is the ICONIC wardrobe who used to be an opera singer. I am super grateful to have the opportunity to play this fabulous character and would like to thank everyone who helped me get here. This includes, but is not limited to, all my voice teachers, my parents, Mrs. Coombs (who taught me so much about theater), and Mr. Thorn who allowed me to have the opportunity to play this character. Thanks for coming and enjoy the show!!
